Kim Thompson

Registered Massage Therapist, DOMP Ontario

Kim has over 20 years experience doing a variety of therapeutic massage modalities as a body worker in various spa’s around the world with a majority of time spent on BC’s West Coast. In 2018 she returned to school and graduated with Honours from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy and obtained her Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) designation with the College of Massage Therapists of BC. Kim has completed several levels of Cranio-Sacral Therapy training with Upledger Institute and has taken courses in Cranial Fascial Techniques, Biodynamic Myofascial Mobilization and TMJD Techniques.

In 2022, she graduated from Manual Osteopathy Program  in Ontario obtaining her Diploma Osteopathic Manual Practitioner (D.O.M.P) Ontario. Kim is currently upgrading her qualifications for BC  by studying at the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Vancouver and she uses an osteopathic approach in her massage therapy treatments. 

She takes a whole-body approach and blends a variety of gentle non-invasive therapeutic techniques that work on a deep fascial level into her treatments and uses the least amount of force needed to obtain tissue change.   Some of the techniques include: Myofascial Release, Biodynamic Myofascial Mobilization, Cranial Sacral & Fascial Therapy, Joint Mobilizations, Trigger Point Therapy, Muscle Energy Technique and Intra-oral TMJ techniques.

 
Kim is passionate about assessing each clients’ individual needs and treating them to assist in achieving greater mobility, decreased pain and to restore balance in their body to contribute to their quality of life and help them get back to doing the activities they love.
