Cranial Osteopathy is a branch of osteopathy that follows all the same principles of osteopathy (treating the whole person and root cause of dysfunction) with a particular focus on the head and sacrum, but also includes other areas of the body that have been affected by previous trauma. A subtle and light touch is used to detect and treat tissue tension and to help facilitate the body’s innate ability to heal and restore balance and health to the tissues. It is a very gentle and relaxing treatment and is widely known for treating infants, children, elderly and adults. Some clients find it is similar to Cranial Sacral Therapy.
