Visceral Manipulation

Visceral Manipulation

Visceral Manipulation (VM) is a gentle form of organ specific manual therapy focused on improving the mobility/motility of the organs. Because the organs have ligaments and fascia that attach to the musculoskeletal system, any restrictions in the organ or its surrounding attachments can cause pain & dysfunction elsewhere in the body. VM aims to decrease fascial restrictions and fascial tension patterns that can lead to chronic pain, functional and structural problems in the body. Reducing or removing restrictions through VM can help to decrease pain, dysfunction and postural problems in other areas of the body, as well as balancing other systems in the body and revitalizing the person.
